The first sponsor for the FACEIT Collegiate Leagues for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Valorant has been named as gaming peripheral manufacturer HyperX.
The Collegiate Leagues are set to begin this spring, and will boast a $25,000 prize pool for the CS:GO events. League of Legends will be offering a $5,000 prize pool at the Regional Invitationals, with the winners fighting for a share of $10,000 in the FACEIT Collegiate Finals. The Valorant Premier League will be bringing a $10,000 prize for the top-collegiate level players to compete over.
The partnership with HyperX will also help support the HyperX Collegiate All Stars, an event that will see the best players within each scene compete in several events in June to round out the season.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with FACEIT on this fantastic opportunity," said Christopher Pankhurst, Influencer Marketing Specialist, HyperX EMEA in a press release. "The shared goal between our brands allows projects like this to develop and support our community by inspiring all the gamers to achieve their best. We're very proud to be sponsoring their teams and leagues, and we're going to see a high level of competition in the events that will unfold in the coming months. HyperX and FACEIT will be there to bolster the collegiate players and their enthusiastic audience."
