The Elder Scrolls Online

Story

It takes place in all the previous parts of the continent of Tamriel way, but the story is not at all in connection with the stories of the previous games. The game is set about a thousand years before the events in Skyrim. The main enemy is Daedraprince Mogal Bal, who wants to take control of the whole of Tamriel.

Alliances

"Our supplies dwindle. Our trade routes are shut down. Our people sudder. Why? Because a pretend sits upon the Ruby Throne.Let us take up arms! Let the fields of Cyrodiil run red with the blood of our fallen enemies! But let us spare the lives of a few, so that they may return to their homelands to tell their fellows the fate they met at the hands of the Daggerfall Covenant. One land! One Emperor! Who among you will stand with me?" - A letter from High King Emeric.

Daggerfall Covenant is an alliance of nortwest Tamriel. There are three races, Bretons, Orcs and Redguards. Bretons live in High Rock. Because they were once elven imposed, some elven blood runs in their veins. That´s why they also good as magic. Bretons are talented merchants, craftsmen, and good wizards. Redguards are darker skinned people of Hammerfell. They are very talented warriors, and they are born to battle. They live in a desert (Alikir Desert). Redguards have been taught that only the strongest will survive. Orcs are well-know as barbarians, they are also called beasts. They are greatest blacksmiths in Tamriel. Their weapons and armors are best quality in Tamriel.

"Before Ysgramor led the Nord people south, our ancestors flourished in the frozen continent of Atmora, and to this day our people prefer the bitter climes of northern Tamriel. The Dark Elves abide in Morrowind, a harsh land of ashfall and perpetual earthquakes. The Argonians endure the treacherous and impenetrable depths of Black Marsh. The alliance between our races was born in dark times, when Nord, Dunmer and free Argonians fought as one to repel the invasion of the Akaviri slavemasters. Ebonheart Pact is an alliance of northeast Tamriel. Dark Elves and Nords has a long history of wars, and Argonians were enslaved by Dark Elves. The strength of these three people makes the Ebonheart Pact a fighting force of extraordinary power.

"I have no hatred for the races of Man, but they are young. Like all children, they are driven by emotion. They lack the wisdom that comes with age. I would sooner place an Altmer infant on the Ruby Throne than surrender Tamriel to their capricious whims. The Altmer, the Bosmer and the Khajiit share the common traits of intelligence, patience and reason. We do not seek riches or plunder. Domination is not our goal, nor is the acclamation of power for its own sake. Today we make our stand. Aldmeri Dominion is an alliance with no humans. High Elves, Wood Elves and Khajiits are the Dominion. They say the human race is driven by emotion, so there are no human races. (You can join the Dominion if you got Collectors or Imperial edition, even if you are a human.)

Game

The Elder Scrolls online is an Elder Scrolls, but it´s Online.The Elder Scrolls Online is pay-to-play based.The basic monthly charge is $14.99/€12.99/£8.99.There is also a shop where players can buy a standard horse or the Imperial Edition of the game with euros/pounds.

Gameplay

You start by selecting one of nine to race, all of them have their own abilities.Then you select one of the four classes, which are Dragonknight, Sorcerer, Nightblade, and Templar.Classes will give players three exclusive skill lines, and do not affect a characters weapon or armor choices.

"These traveling knights call upon the powers of light and the burning sun to deal massive damage to their enemies while restoring health, magicka, and stamina to their allies." - Templar class.

"Sorcerers summon and control weather phenomenon: hurling lightning bolts and creating electrified fields, summoning tornadoes and impenetrable fog, and calling upon Daedric forces to summon Storm Atronachs and magical armor." - Sorcerer class.

"Nightblades are adventurers and opportunists with a gift for getting in and out of trouble. Relying variously on stealth, blades, and speed, Nightblades thrive on conflict and misfortune, trusting to their luck and cunning to survive." - Nightblade class.

War in Cyrodiil

Player vs. Player opens at level 10. PvP area is Cyrodiil, where all Alliances start to fight the Emperors throne.

Tamriel

Most of Tamriel is playable area. The player chooses one of nine race, who are divided into three factions, each of which seeks the Emperor's throne of Tamriel.Pre-ordered the game can choose to belong to any group, but the amount of other racial group.However, the player is able to explore only those areas that fall within his group. Only the player's experience on arrival at the top level (level 50), he gets to explore two other areas.

Reception

Since the game is an MMO, unlike other parts of the series, some did not like the whole idea.Especially when the game will have to pay 13e a month, and some say it is too expensive.Gamereactor give it 6-7, which is quite good. IGN give it 7.8 which is good too. Metacritics metascore to the game is 72. So the game is not perfect, but it's good.
